GETTING TO KNOW DALLAS

Dallas began as a Tennessee lawyer’s hopeful dream of a trade post in 1839. The area started out as 640 acres of Native American land, carved throughout with a few rugged streets and a courthouse.

Dallas grew through the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth, growing with the introduction of airports, museums, and various businesses.

In 1930, the largest oil field on earth at the time was found within 100 miles of Dallas. This turned the already thriving Dallas into a center of activity circulating around oil. The city roared with enterprise.

Then came November 22, 1963, and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Dallas struggled to regain her pride in the eyes of an unforgiving world after the president’s death.

In the latter 1960’s, after boosts of pride given to them by the Dallas Cowboys, Mary Kay Ash, and the joint agreement with Forth Worth to build an airport for the region, Dallas regained her stature and place in the world.

Today, Dallas is a thriving city of commerce. The Cowboys Stadium and the Astrodome attract thousands of sports fans. Businesses rise, give way to other businesses, fall, and merge with other businesses to rise again.

Throughout all of Dallas’ growth, your office remains. You are a piece of a city that is great in the eye of the public. Your office, and its furniture, represent the pride of Dallas and your business. We’d like to prove that we live up to that heritage.
